Dr. Kerisimasi “Masi” Reynolds, DO
Orthopedic Surgeon | Sports Medicine | Regenerative & Human Performance Founder, The MASI Clinic
Dr. Kerimasi “Masi” Reynolds is a board-certified orthopedic sports-medicine surgeon and the founder of The MASI Clinic, a performance-driven orthopedic and regenerative medicine institute serving Silicon Valley, Santa Cruz, and patients from around the world.
A former Division-I baseball player at Oregon State University, Dr. Reynolds understands firsthand the physical, emotional, and identity-level impact of injury. He trained at some of the most respected centers in sports medicine, including the Henry Ford Health System, The Steadman Clinic, and the SOAR fellowship in San Francisco. Through his training, he provided orthopedic team coverage for professional, collegiate, and elite athletic programs across a wide range of disciplines.
That foundation shaped his mission: to guide people not only back to sport or activity, but toward higher levels of performance, confidence, and self-trust.
The MASI Method
Dr. Reynolds created the MASI Method™, a whole-human framework designed to accelerate healing, elevate performance, and build longevity.
The MASI Method is Dr. Masi’s integrative approach to healing and performance, grounded in regenerative medicine, precise intervention, and strategic rehabilitation. Rather than focusing on isolated symptoms, the method guides patients through each phase of recovery with intention, education, and continuity of care. Rooted in curiosity and ongoing discovery, the Masi Method empowers individuals to understand their bodies, build lasting capacity, and optimize movement, resilience, and longevity over time.

Human-First
Dr. Reynolds’ worldview is shaped by a strong Polynesian heritage that emphasizes family, humility, service, and collective responsibility. These values guide how he shows up as a physician, leader, husband, and father — and reinforce his belief that healing is relational, not transactional.
His practice reflects this grounding: patients are met with respect, presence, and partnership, and care is delivered with both technical excellence and deep humanity.
Guided by a deep commitment to service, Dr. Reynolds has provided orthopedic care and medical education in underserved regions including Ecuador, the Dominican Republic, Fiji, Samoa, and Uganda. These experiences continue to shape his humility, perspective, and belief that skill carries responsibility beyond borders.
Outside of clinical practice, Dr. Reynolds is a proud husband, father, athlete, and lifelong student of human performance and inner growth. His work is grounded in love, humility, and service — and the belief that the greatest medicine is partnership, empowerment, and presence.

Leadership, Speaking & Thought Influence
Dr. Reynolds is a sought-after speaker in sports medicine, orthobiologics, and human performance. He lectures nationally on optimizing healing, recovery science, and how to build back stronger through an integrated approach that honors both biology and belief.
Dr. Reynolds is the creator and host of The Process, a long-form podcast exploring the real, often unseen journey through injury and recovery. Through conversations with world-class athletes, clinicians, and high-performers, he examines the physical, mental, and emotional trenches of the comeback — highlighting that there is no single “right” way to heal, only an honest, personal one. The show exists to educate, inspire, and remind listeners that recovery is as much about who you become as what you overcome.

The Valley
There’s a moment in recovery that nobody warns you about. And when it comes, most people think something has gone wrong. It happens after the acute phase passes. After surgery. After the initial injury. After the crisis that demanded all your attention. For a while, recovery feels like something happening to you—things are being done,…

The Business of Denial
A patient told me recently that they were grateful to have good insurance. They said it with relief, like they’d won the lottery. Like having good insurance meant they were protected. I didn’t correct them in that moment. But I wanted to. There is no such thing as good insurance. There’s only insurance that denies…

The Right to Information
A patient asked me today why I spend so much time explaining their pathology, their disease process, their medical options. Why I go deep into the reasoning behind recommendations. Why I don’t just tell them what to do. They said their previous physicians had never done this. They were surprised by how much time it…
